~ Kathryne's Special Kindy Bear Pumkin Outfit ~

The following is Kindy's Story as told by Kathryne from Vancouver, B.C.

"I want to introduce you to Kindy...

He is a teddy bear my grandsons kindergarten teacher purchased when she first started teaching over twenty five years ago, he is now the ugliest bear, but no bear is loved more. He is absolutely thread bare and lost his eyes and  one of the mothers embroidered his face last year and the teacher had to remove the embroidery as that was not Kindy and the kids were all upset.

He goes home to each child’s home with his own suitcase of outfits made and donated by kids/parents throughout the years, and a journal, there are over thirty journals now, and each child takes Kindy home and brings him back the next day with his adventures with Kindy written up in the journal.

My grandson was lucky he had Kindy for a WHOLE weekend, big sister was full of nostalgia cuz she loved that bear when she was in kindergarten, and because he even goes home on all holidays, Brylee (age 9 now) had him the whole summer that year.

He has his own sleeping bag and this weekend they slept at Grandmas each in their own sleeping bag, which was a first for Kindy as he never slept over when Brylee was his caregiver.

Because Grandma is now embroidering she was asked to produce a pumpkin outfit for Kindy plus we found him shoes to wear with his soccer outfit.
